How To Clean And Maintain Absolute Black Granite Tiles

With its elegance and durability, Absolute blackGranite tiles have become a popular flooring choice for many homeowners. Granite is a natural stone and so it is relatively costlier than any other flooring materials. But due to its long lasting and durable nature it is preferred by most people who can afford it.  Though absolute black Granite tiles have a very popular usage but dust is generally visible more quickly on a black surface than on a more neutral coloured tile. Cleaning granite floor tiles is important for preserving the beauty of the floor. Although it is durable, but proper care must be taken not so that the stone is not damaged in any way. It is best to follow proper steps for cleaning and maintaining this tile.

Remove all loose dust and dirt from the surface properly every day. This cleaning can be done by using a dust mop or a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush.

Floor Tiles

After the dust is wiped off fill a bucket with warm water, dip a sponge mop into the bucket and squeeze out the excess water well. After that run the damp mop over the black granite to pick up dirt, debris and stains. Attend to every section and corner of the tile when damp mopping and dry each section with a soft cloth promptly to prevent water marks. Damp-mop the black granite tiles every few days on a regular basis.

Use mild dish soap or cleanser to clean the granite on a weekly basis.  For this process fill a bucket with warm water. Add a few drops of mild cleanser to the water. Fill a second bucket with plain water for rinsing.  Dip a clean sponge mop into the bucket of soapy water. Squeeze out the excess water from the mop well. Mop the granite floor tiles in sections and attend to every corner. Change the bucket of mop water as it starts to turn dirty because of cleaning. Go over each section with the mop and the fresh water. This will rinse away any soap residue from the floor.

Dry each section of the granite floor promptly. Use a soft cloth to wipe the tiles dry so that no water marks is left behind. Unless a sealant is required, soap and water are the best option to clean your granite stone.

If there is a spill on your granite, immediately wipe it away. Avoid letting the spill stay on the stone for a long time for it may stain or discolour the surface, thus making it difficult to remove.
